Second win of the season see’s the Bertian boys lifted off the bottom and out of the relegation spots.
Hooper started the goal fest after a great cross from Steve Collet was met beautifully of the head off Hooper. The boggy pitch meant that the defence was caught short by a very fast Mayfield forward line who pulled off an equaliser making it 1-1, Mayfield quickly made it 1-2 when they capitalised on a boggy goals mouth with a simple tap in off a slow ball. Bertian never gave up and the newly promoted sipper Steve Collet pulled off another great cross this time from a corner where it was met by a very brave header from Muk who had to come of with a cut just below the eye.
Mayfield started to pile on the pressure and Bertians kept fighting and that grit paid off when another great cross provided a goal this time for young Harry. Mayfield pulled it back to 3-3 with a great free kick but a determined Bertians side could sense that 3 points was on the table and they took it with both hands when a Jordan corner was buried by goal hungry James Hooper making it 4-3 and 3 points for Egs
