We could only get 8 players together this week so Wormley agreed to give us two players and we played 10 a side on a massive pitch !!! We struggled to get the ball off of Wormley in the first half and went one nil down after giving the ball away at the back. In the second half we were much the stronger side and a thirty five yard screamer from Andy Middleton put us level and only five minutes later Andy skipped passed the keeper to put us two one up. Ten minutes later we broke again and the ball got squared to Dan Mose who had an open goal but managed to hit the bar from three yards out, the ball rebounded out and Andy Middleton tucked it away. Wormley scored another against the run of play but Egbertians were always in control. Another slick passing move amazingly put Stuart Clive in on goal and he did not hesitate and smashed the ball in to the bottom corner. That was not the most amazing thing, five minutes later we had another great move and Ewen Thomson played the ball in to Andy who played the one two and Ewen slotted the ball passed the goalkeeper. That is the first time I can remember Ewen and Stuart scoring in the same game and we all discussed retiring after it !!!!
