A much quicker start to our pattern of play in this game. We quickly went ahead and should have punished them further straight afterwards. But their keeper pulled off some great saves. They punished us when we over tried to play offside from a free kick. The referee did not give it and three lads gambled and one got lucky with a neat headed finish to beat our keeper and equalise. This lucky break for them did not sway the game. Instead we dug in, didn't react to their very aggressive and unsporting behavior and started moving the ball quickly. Our full backs pushed and our runs off the middle opened them up repeatedly. The second half was more of the same and three well constructed team goals came in quick succession to kill off any hope they had of getting back into the game.
A good result against the team that will probably win the league. Again this showed the missed opportunities this season where we should have taken all three points in most of our games.
