4th Team 4 - 0 Latymer Old Boys V
Date: 2014-10-04
Venue: Away
Referee: ?

Egbertians controlled the game from start to finish and comfortably went into the hat for the second round of the cup. The harsh conditions and poor pitch did not stop Egbertians playing some good football and they deservedly took the lead after 18 mins with Parkinson smashing home with his right foot from a dangerous corner from Hyde. The Latymer goal keeper then kept out a certain goal from a Baldwin shot with a great save onto the bar before Goulding gave Egs a deserved second with a great turn and finish from 20yards that hit the top corner. The second half saw Latymer create more problems for the Egs but Poole was bossing the defence and with McLean and White solid in the midfield the Egs were never really troubled. The game was wrapped up with 20 mins to go with Offord firing home from 20 yards to put the game to bed as Egbertians continued to pour forward. The final goal came from our debutant Alan Jones who headed home from a Goulding cross to wrap up a well deserved win and send them into the next round.
