3rd Team 1 - 4 Kingsburian

Another top versus bottom game this week. A few of the core players were unable to make the game and a couple of eleventh hour pull outs left us at bear bones this week and lacking any depth in the squad.
The first 15 mins was very shaky with a lack of confidence playing against a strong and physical side and a very tacky pitch. Within 25 minutes we had conceded two goals through mere lack of gumption to make the challenges. A few changes in positioning and Egs started to settle managing to pull back a goal courtesy of Ricky from some great play between, Daryll, Abdullah and kaven.
The second half was an exceptionally strong performance from Egs and they pressured Kings and held them man for man keeping them on the back foot for almost 30 minutes.
The turning point of the game, was Daryll, Ricky and Paul all taking knocks and needed to come off. With a lack of a regular bench, our play turned choppy and stretched. resulting in two individual battles lost leading to Kings finding another two goals before the close of play.
Overall a gutsy performance by Egs despite are severe shortages this week. A special Thanks is necessary for the 5th team players who stepped up to the plate literally 2 hours before the game.
