The SuperEgs got back on a winning roll with a well earned 3-0 victory away to Old Tollingtonians. Egbertians made an early break through when some good work down the right by Hyde saw him whip in a dangerous cross that Brooks flicked on and Baldwin dispatched with aplomb. Things got even better as the Egs early pressure was rewarded when the Tollingtonians Goal Keeper made an error from a clearance and Brooks was on hand to expertly finish from 35 yards into an empty net to make it 2-0. The home side then started to threaten to get back into the game but Baldwin had eaten 3 Weetabix that morning and had other ideas. J Garrett sent the ball long, and the opposition defender could only head the ball across goal to Baldwin who was busy trying to feed off the second ball. Baldwin with this back to goal and outside the box, tried his luck with an acrobatic bicycle kick that he connected with like never before. The ball flew through the air and found the top corner to stun the home team and send the Egs team delirious. A moment of magic worthy of winning any game. The second half saw Garrett bring on McCann to pack out the midfield and park the bus to see out the game against Tollingtonians who are the Leagues top scorers. The home side had chances, but Kent was a rock at the back and Garrett made 2 brilliant saves to keep the clean sheet in tact. A well deserved 3 points and a goal of the season winner complete.
