A much better performance by the vets this week. Plenty of chances created and we were unlucky in the first twenty minutes having hit the bar twice. Upminster went in to the lead against the run of play with a long range effort that was unstoppable. Egs equalised after a cross from Andy Middleton found Richard Snedker who headed in. Upminster went two one up but we soon levelled after Jason Steadman converted a penalty after he was fouled in the box. We had two opportunities to win when Andy Middleton had a header at the far post that went over and the other when Ewen Thomson had an effort that cleared the forty foot fence that was behind the goal and hit the roof of a house another forty yards further on !!!!
