A really strong performance on Saturday.
Woods narrowly beat us at the begining of the season when we had no goal keeper.
This week was very different. We started a little shakily with one player starting the game ill. He quickly came off after 10 minutes and we had just gone ahead through Dwayne Francis.
We doubled the lead quite soon after through Ollie and had a few more chances to score. We went in half time 2-nil up. We had a penalty just before half time but a poor effort saw the woods keeper push the pall away for a corner . Within 5 minutes of the game restarting we had concerned a penalty through not clearing our lines quickly enough. Heppy pulled off a big save to keep us 2 nil up.
We soon scored a 3rd courtesy of a solo effort from Booby who danced down the wing cout in and slipped a shot under the keeper and was cruising. From a lapse of tempo and concentration Woods worked an opportunity and a scored to bring the score back to 3-1. We soon won another penalty which Ollie converted.
We got our tempo back and was breaking at will and soon created another opportunity which saw Antonio Azevedo run through, round the keeper and slot the ball home.
Woods did not know what had hit them. This could have quite easily have been 6 or 7 nil.
But the win was needed and told the league that the best footballing side had 'turned up' to teach Woods a lesson. Woods had a game in hand and would have gone top of the league had they beaten us.
