4th Team 2 - 5 Old Woodhouseians III

The match started brightly with both teams playing well, after 15 minutes though Egbertians found themselves a goal down after a free-kick was given on the edge of the box. From this Woodhouseians scored with a header with some slake marking. Egbertians have a few chances to level the match but with half time approaching Woodhouseians were give a penalty and finish the half two goals too the good. The beginning of the second half started with a considerable amount of pressure from the away team and that was rewarded with another goal, but after that Egbertians started playing some good football and good play from James Miller, Dan and Nic Heavin set up Pavel to score pass the on rushing keeper. Unfortunately this did not spur on a come back and we conceded another goal a few minutes later. Towards the end of the game Egbertians were awarded a penalty which James Millar took and hit the crossbar, but the referee saw an infringement and Pavel took over penalty duties and stepped up to score his and Egbertians second goal, making the final score 5-2 to Old Woodhouseians. Everyone put in the effort, with Chris in goals make several good saves throughout the game.
