Match Report : We conceded an early penalty which was really harsh, the ball deflected up off Richard Offord\'s foot onto his hand, which was by my side with no one within 10 yards, but the ref deemed it a deliberate handball, We equalised with a really good bit of link up play between Dan Heavin, James Hooper and Luke Baker, who drilled it across the face of goal for David Wood to tap in at the back post. It was pretty even, but we were on top for about 10 mins before they scored a goal with a header from a corner. Straight from the restart, Jordan Rowley got caught in possession and their striker seized on a bit of hesitation and burst between the two centre backs and as he went round the keeper he went down easily and the ref gave another pen. They scored that too and the rest of the half was pretty even although they had the better of the chances.
We were completely over run in midfield and they just kept flooding forward. They scored three goals in the second half but it should have been more, with some sloppy finishing and some really good goalkeeping from Remek Kowalski. With Nic Heavin and Jordan Rowley at the back, there was nobody in the centre of the park and they had all the time and the space to control the midfield and set up attacks. We had a bit of a late flourish with David Wood going close, and James Hooper having a great shot saved, but we were second best from the moment the third goal went in. Final score, 6 - 1.
Tough one to call because the two harsh pens in the first half knocked the stuffing out of us and in the second half we ran out of steam. Perhaps if we\'d gone in at 1 - 1 at half time we might have had more belief in the secon
