The game was over for Egbertians within the first 13 minutes. A very slow start saw Edmontonians take the lead with a simple through ball that caught the defence napping and their Striker duly dispatched to make it one nil after 5 mins. They got a second a few minutes later when a diagnal ball from their striker found their winger who took it around the Egbertian GK and finished with ease. Edmontonians then got a 3rd to make it 3-0 on 13 minutes when their Striker picked up the ball from 30 yards and found the top corner!
Egbertians finally got going after the 3rd goal and showed a lot of spirit to get a foothold back in the game. Goulding had an overhead volley tipped over, White had a shot tipped round the post, and finally a great passing move involving Hyde, Holland and Brown saw Deiana slot in at the far post to make it 3-1 at Half time. The second half was quite an even affair with Edmontians and Egbertians having a number of chances, but Edmontonians got the decisive 4th goal that wrapped up the points for them. Holland subsequently hit the underside of the bar with a header, Deiana had a good chance cleared off the line, and Brown had a one on one.
