4th Team 2 - 2 Old Stationers IV

A bad pitch and terrible conditions saw a dreadful game of football from both teams. The first half saw Egbertian's in complete control of the game but they struggled to make their posessions and chances count. David Kane then burst into the oppositions penalty box and was brought down for the first penalty of the game. Chris Holland stepped up to convert to make it 1-0 at the break. The second half was a different story and Old Stationers got back into the game and made use of the conditions to pepper the Egbertian's goal with crosses and shots and got thier reward with a well taken eqauliser. Egbertian then went 2-1 up through Deiana whose shot from the edge of the box somehow found the back of the net as the opponents Goal Keeper lost his positioning after a one-two with Baldwin. Old Stationers did not give up and equalised almost immedietely. Egbertians then should have won it in normal time when Kane was again taken down in the penalty box and Holland stepped up only to put his penalty over the bar to end the game 2-2. Extra Time was a terrible spectacle and Egbertians had further chance to win the game but Old Stationers held on for Penalties. Egbertian scored all 6 pens, and Garrett saved Old Stationers 6th Penalty to send Egbertians into the next round.
