A slow start for Egs saw Whitewebbs take a two goal lead. The first goal was a free kick on the edge of our area that bounced sideways off the pitch deceiving our keeper and the second was a ball over the top that held up in the wind for their striker to run on to and lob it in to the top corner. We got one back before half time with Steve Hurced battling to win the ball on the edge of their box and laying in Andy Middleton who stroked it in to the bottom corner.
In the second half we came out stronger and put Whitewebbs under a lot of pressure but conceded another goal. We came back with Andy Middleton rounding the keeper after another assist from Steve Hurved to make it three two. We had numerous chances after that with Dave Smith hitting the bar and chipping the keeper just wide but got caught out pushing forward at the end to make it 4-2.
