3rd Team 0 - 7 Old Salvatorians

A difficult game this week,with Egs fielding a very unsettled team and playing the Top team of division.
Egs started settled fairly well in the first 20 -25 mins. Despite teething problems throughout in our back line with our standin right back. Egs took game to Salvs and for much of the first half they held their own and created several chances. 35 mins in and a blatant offside was allowed to play on and the first goal of was conceded. Henry returning from injury from the reserves came off just after, with a tight a hamstring. Egs kept there heads and pursued an equaliser, We got caught on the break and conceded a second goal which was a questionable Off side . Junior pulled out with a strain calf muscle just before close of half time. With no more options on the bench, Egs became unbalanced and Salvos, slowly started to find the gaps and break up our play and the goal tally followed. Alex our keeper for the game was fantastic and took man of the match, producing some excellent one one stops. Special thanks to Mark speller from the reserves who also did a great job in a difficult game.
