A disappointing game with quite a few poor performances from around the team
Shocking goals conceded and poor fitness levels coming through in the second half. Two drop outs on the morning of the game, one player arriving at half time....... A few frank conversations were had during the game, half time and post match.
Three of their goals came from free kicks and one from a corner - shocking!
The referee was awful. The two free kicks which resulted in goals were mistakenly given resulting in the oppo sniggering. We still had more than enough chances in both halves to win the game twice over.
Having three subs made a big difference for Woodhouseinas and we had .....one for half the game....
This did not change the result but I hope was a wake up call to a number players who either made poor errors during the game, displayed a lack of control or failed to show sufficient 'fight' when Woodhouseians started putting in challenges and getting on the refs back.
I regularly mention ability is not enough and Saturday was another clear example of what happens when you play an inferior team that want the win more than we obviously did.
