Egbertian IV got back to winnings ways in with an emphatic victory against a title chasing Mayfield side. Egbertian had to make a few changes this week with a number of regulars out, but showed a great team ethic to grind out a win with a gritty team performance. Credit to the 4th team management, who have an entourage bigger than blazing squad!, who masterminded a the system to suit the personnel and get the result to put the Egs season back on track. Goals from the impressive Kane (not Harry) and White (not Snow) saw the Egs race into a 2 goal lead. Mayfield fought hard to get back in the game and pulled a goal back to make it 2-1 with 20 mins left. However the Egs have the best defensive record in the league and with Garrett in inspired form, they held firm to take all 3 points.
