2nd Team 4 - 2 Old Finchelians

The game started on time, within 10minutes the opposition were one goal ahead, from a deflection. They were physically bigger and stronger than our players in the centre of the pitch, which put us under a lot of pressure, on a pitch which sloped towards our goal. Old Finch then scored a very good second goal ending with they forward slotting it into the corner of the net. We started the second half with a different formation by strengthening the middle and playing one up top which stopped them from penetrating our midfield. We then went on to score - Darren smashed the ball from 20yds into the top corner of the net! At this point, we were dominating the game but old finch started putting in a few bad tackles which earned them 3 to 4 yellow cards . We continued to dominate & from a saved shot Arnold followed it up an smashed the ball home.
We then went into extra time looking the stronger team we soon forced a 3rd from a long thrown-on, the ball came off an opposition player and went into the goal. We then finished off the game with 5min left Gareth was put through & hit the bottom corner from 25yards game over. At no point did the lads think they were going to lose an fought for every ball I couldn't of ask for more great day for the team & club.
